Self Discovery

 

BANG!! It hit hard,
like a heavy spaceship falling on the ground.
It made me slippery like soap on the floor.
My heart became silent like an eerie room.
gloomy – dark – exhausted.
Exhausted from the phrases of people,
which change as fast as a cheetah runs.

I was lost like a traveler in a new country.
This world became new for me,
and forced me to look beyond what I already knew,
I knew as little as a grain of sand.
But I learned —
In the silence of my soul,
I discovered myself — piece by piece
like a friend learning about you.
I became my own best friend —
who I can trust and rely on.

This world doesn’t feel strange anymore,
nor does it feel difficult to move in.
My soul is a luminous light
which helps me carve my path.
I rose up as slow as a caterpillar’s crawl,
but when I came back I never let go of myself.
